He's been one of my favorite Penguins since he entered the league but man, you wonder what he's thinking in some situations.

Stupid Letang comes out when he's forced to think about something and not rely on instinct, swear to god. One of the few times you don't want a player thinking.

That one-timer from either side will never work on this team. For one, Letang isn't a threat to shoot, so the D-men nor the goalie commit to laying out/guarding the top of the crease to contest it. And second, Letang floats the most pathetically slow crawler to either Crosby or Malkin where it takes more than a second to get to its destination, by then the goalie and D have already moved to square up to the shot/take away the lane.

No threat to shoot, and slow passes, make the Stamkos one-timer impossible, because they're doing it wrong.
