I’m not usually a doom and gloom Type of fan. But I’m getting more worried about Geno as time goes on. He just looks totally lethargic.

We may need sandpaper more desperately than skill up front.

However you slice it, the mix is awful and collectively they're the softest lot of forwards I've ever seen.

we need both...

Sully has his stacked first line AND Matheson-Letang behind them every shift.

And the takeaway is why can't Malkin be more dymanic.

Thoughts @Gurglesons?

I disagree. I think the biggest roster problem is the lack of any offensive threats from our bottom 6. Still way down on the list of issues though. If we add more players without skill, we're only making our team more and more dependent on Sid and Geno who clearly aren't up to it (anymore?).

The issue is you need someone completely disconnected from the Sid/Geno era, and that PP coach needs to work for a coach disconnected from the Sid/Geno era. Gallant with Mullen coaching the PP, for example . . .

Talk dirty to me

The mix is the top 6 sucking is a bigger issue, sad as it is to say.

Not sure why there is so much love for Gallant. He is a coach who is a coach who will maximize the roster but unless the Pens change the star system for a bunch of over achievers, he is not the guy.
