Doug armsrtong is the one who said he was going to be aggressive. He also said he would not be dealing his top two prospects, (true story) actually said it several times. The untouchables are untouchables. Also part of being aggressive is UFA. I guarantee with management approving spending to the cap that JT will get one of the highest offers from the blues especially since they have the money to pay for it.

look, if you go for Tavares you don't have a 10 years Window, you have a 5 years window. Your GM is definitely not trying to make his core younger, I understand that you don'T want Parayko,Dunn, thomas,Kyrou out but one of them is very likely being traded at the draft..

Why please explain why they will be, other than your gut. Do you have any evidence. Doug Armstrong himself said that he was not trading away his talented youth. For rentals. SO please enlighten me on why one will be gone and for whom.

Parayko Dunn Thomas and Kyrou are going no where

I get it you want kyrou or thomas for MTL cause you lack young centers. That just isnt happening from the blues. Thomas is looking to be a legit #1c Kyrou is looking to be a first line rw. Those are positional needs. Our window will be open as long as Army wants it. If we sign Taveres it will be for 4-7 years thats plenty of time to win. No need to trade our best center prospect and our best rw prospect who will be with the club next year. On top of that our top four D is Edds, Dunn Petro Parayok. Why on gods green earth would we trade one of those players. Makes zero sense. Especially for a 1 year rental and a pick.

I am not trying to belittle you but you are making blind and baseless statements especially since Doug Armstrong said he wasnt trading his top young players. Sorry

I could see Pacioretty for Bennett + one of your good young D prospect

I think this would give you guys a good 1 -2 combo with Gaudreau on the 1st and Pac on the 2nd line.

Gallagher is not for sale.
No interest in Patches and certainly not for Bennett let alone an add.

I probably don't know Bennett enough then, because the Bennett I know haven't shown much yet... I even heard he couldn't do a single pull up lol

So a team that needs a center trades its center prospect that its spent 3 years being super patient with, just to start the cycle all over again?

Yeah that's not happening, looks like we'll just have to tank for 2 extra years like everybody else

Not many people could when they needed shoulder surgery. Bennett has been miscoached by GG, saddled with poor teammates on the 3rd line. I fully expect him to break out under Peters this year.

Peter is probably the worst thing that have happened to the flames since the lost in the stabley cup final

(Never seen a coach coaching as bad as he did at the world champ last month.)
