As far as the Rangers go:
Grabner: Blues
Nash: Preds
Zuccarello: Rangers
McDonagh: Rangers
I don't think the Rangers will pull the trigger on a McD trade unless the return is an absurd over-payment which given the teams interested is unlikely. Grabner will likely get a 2nd + B- level prospect and Nash will likely get a 1st + B/B+ prospect. Can't imagine Zucc is moved at the TDL.
Agreed on all except McD...too much smoke around him right now for there to not be something brewing. Rangers management issuing that statement, scratched for a "nagging injury" that he was clearly playing through, other various reports...and just my own 2 cents, players like him don't pop up too often on the trade block. Maybe Yzerman doesn't pay the price, but I think someone will. Teams don't often get the chance to improve their rosters this much in one trade, and we've seen plenty of GM's willing to sacrifice their futures for far less impact players than McD. Going to guess the obvious, that TB and Boston are the front-runners, but there HAS to be more than 2 teams talking with the Rangers...my dark horses Edmonton, Colorado, or Vancouver. Young and/or under achieving teams with lineups that could greatly benefit from adding a player like McD both now, and for the future.
Again, just my guess. Not trying to stir the pot...
