It's funny how that **** works. I remember back in the 2013-14 season a game against the Jets where we got an offensive zone faceoff with like 1.5 seconds left. I thought no way we score and went for a break early. Then the next period started and I was confused as **** when I saw that we had scored a goal at some point. Then checked the boxscore and saw that Thompson indeed scored at the end of 1st.

That happened to me like 3 times when we played the Sabres over 2 years from 05 and 06. I went for milk and when I came back some crazy crap like Vanek getting a hattrick had happened. Christ that team scored in bunches quickly
