I'd argue this Stamkos is better then old Stamkos. He's gotten better in every aspect of his game, but the most important thing is that he is making smart decisions with the puck and he's stopped forcing things.

I agree. I think he's had spurts better than this (possibly the one in 2013, where he was arguably the best player in the league for 13 games), but this is his best play, IMO, over a long stretch of games. I think he's on his way to the best year of his career, despite the start.

That game against Nashville might have been the worst of his career. He cost us that game. I don't know if he had a Come To Jesus moment or if somebody talked to him, but WOW.
