Blow by is a strong word for JT lmao but man finally someone drives the net and boom hood things happen and good bounces happen.

Knies stood up for rielly earlier and got the GWG what a beauty.

Let’s f***in go even though boys probably false hope that one felt nice.
Blocker side high. That's the place to shoot on Swayman; the goals the Leafs have scored on him have mostly been in that area. Like too many butterfly goalies nowadays, he goes down to his knees really quickly, which leaves the top half of the net open. But he's got a quick glove, so shooting glove side is a waste.

We may lose Game 6 or Game 7 but at least didn’t go out with a wimper after the worst playoff effort in the last 20 years.

Maybe author a better end for Matthews season too if he can get healthy.
Agreed, but it does increase the frustration, for me at least, that they can play this well but still lay eggs like games 1 and 4. Consistently inconsistent.

They looked really tentative starting that OT .. thankfully Woll made that big save to steady things enough for Tavares to make that play.

Just hoping we can put some psychological damage on the Bruins with these kind of moments. How did we feel when Nick Suzuki scored in OT? How will Boston feel with the history they’ve had.

20?

Leafs had quite a few in the Habs series.

Think about this for a minute; what we did to Boston? That's what Montreal did to us in BOTH OT losses that year; first scoring chance in the net.

He did. I don't know that anyone had a bad game. If we had this effort in every game, might not be needing this kind of comeback.

Slick Mitchy gonna take strays for the rest of his career though, sadly.
Mariner is still healing and recovering from his high ankle Sprain injury though. Silver lining- He looked much better tonight, his skating was much better and he was more mobile and comfortable skating and moving all over the ice. The Leafs got a Solid performance from him tonight, respect to him.

The buds are still alive

Good job leafs…. Our coach is a complete moron for changing lines up. Congrats on staying alive and you’re gunna most likely win the series. Bunch of chokers here
not gonna lie - objectively Boston looked nervous as f*** with no killer instinct not coming in for the unalive today and Toronto looked too much lacking in killer instinct to take advantage of that and blow a team playing terribly out. The score after that 1st should not have been 1-1. I highly doubt either of these teams will win the cup but who cares, just enjoy the experience.

I know people talk about leafs ptsd issues but what about the bruins? They might be having flashbacks from last year. We know how it feels, let them play tight even if their season isnt on the line yet.

Leafs were at rock bottom. Glad Boston has some pressure on them now. Csn we climb outta the hole we made, doubt it. But at least we didn't completely, shit the bed.

I don't think so. If they do not win, it'll probably look like this game with a bounce going the other way.

If we could score on the PP and cleanup the terrible mistakes, we would be winning walking way. C'est la vie.
Agreed, I think they will win games 6 and 7 in much the same fashion. Hell, probably both in overtime. And their prize for doing so will be a rested Florida Panthers team.

If Matthews is healthy, do you break up that Domi line?

Nope.

Knies - Matthews - Nylander
Bertuzzi - Domi - Marner
Robertson - Tavares - Jarnkrok
Holmberg - Kampf - Reaves

If McMann was back, we could run a pretty optimized lineup, especially since Boston is not a bruising team.

Knies - Matthews - Nylander
Bertuzzi - Domi - Marner
Robertson - Tavares - McMann
Holmberg - Kampf - Jarnkrok

They need Woll to live up to his name in game 6 and the Leafs win to really get in their heads. If Wolll suddenly looks unbeatable that can be tough.
