Since the play-in predictions went so well, I thought we could have another go. Same rules as last time (1 point for guessing the winner and a second point if you also guess the number of games).

I don't have my own predictions ready yet, but you guys can start posting yours.

I may even start keeping score from round to round and crown a predictions champion, which would mean McMetal has a head start.

That's literally the only scenario where we'd face STL in round 2. Hope you're wrong.

The way I see it, Avs and VGK are vastly superior to the their competition, STL has the experience, and Dallas is underwhelming while Calgary is hungry. The only upset I see is that series. Didn't realize we face STL then, but STL isn't so scary.

I'd rather let STL and Vegas battle it out during round 2 and then face the deflated winner in the conference finals.

Dallas has to beat CGY for that one?
Yeah. If Calgary beats Dallas that makes them the lowest remaining seed instead of the Blues, so Vegas would play Calgary, leaving St. Louis to us. We'd have 'home ice' (last change) against them which would be a good advantage.

STL and Dallas win = we face Dallas
VAN and Dallas win = we face Dallas
STL and Calgary win = we face STL
VAN and Calgary win = we face VAN

That's what I meant. The VAN one is obvious lol.

One of mine I picked Vancouver over STL, but both I picked CGY over Dallas. I based mine off of the play ins more.

Colorado over Arizona in 6
Calgary over Dallas in 5
Vancouver over St. Louis in 7

Philadelphia over Montreal in 4
Columbus over Tampa Bay in 7
Washington over New York in 5
Carolina over Boston in 6

There's ALWAYS chaos and upsets in the playoffs, so I tried to build some of those unexpected outcomes into my bracket.

If Hedman and Stamkos are both out I might lean towards the blue jackets.

This is mostly based on the way they played in the play in but the Blues and Dallas could easily have just been coasting in the round robin so tough to say if that's their form going forward or if they will turn it up.
