If I remember correctly, there were 24 teams back then? 7 less than today. 7 over 24 is almost 30%.

We have to adapt for that kind of parameters when comparing rankings etc, but I always forgot about it!
Damn! A Brainiac sighting. All the old classics are coming back!

The 1993 Habs were 1st overall around mid March. 8 pts ahed of Biston who eventually won the division.
They went like 1-7-2 last 10 games to finnish 3rd in the Adams.

Habs had a great team, 3 90 pts players, Bellows scored 40, they had top defensive fwd in Carbonneau,
Great young D's in Schneider and Desjardins.

Roy was pretty good too.

20 years from now....

"Price was in the Zone against scrubt teams though. Leafs and Jets? Leafs hadn't won a playoff round in ~20 games and Jets gave a pathetic effort. I mean, those were basically byes..."

Roy won 5 OT games vs those 2 teams, 5-0. That's insane for any goalie, in a do or die playoff overtime situation.
It's great. And he was well deserving of each Smythe he won.

The defense was super young. I think JJD was the eldest at like 27 years of age.

Odelein and brisebois were there too. Odie would play on the Canadian world cup team only 3 years later.
