No coach can compensate for bad goaltending. But good goaltending can compensate for bad coaching.

As long as we don't get consistent goaltending there will always be excuses for Hakstol. That's why we need a new goalie first and a new coach second.

A smart coach wouldn’t make it so the teams entire strategy with a lead is to weather the storm, perfectly happy to spend the whole period in their defensive zone, relying on that bad goaltending to hold on to the lead.

New coach doesn’t come second.

It’s so weird that they have these ridiculous standards for young players but a guy like Provorov can do no wrong. Don’t get me wrong, he’s talented, but it’s like they are afraid to demote him in certain situations.

I’m surprised it’s that bad. It’s clear they aren’t looking at stats like that. Didn’t Charlie call Hak our on something related to advanced stats and Hak got pissy and then took their advice anyway.
