Larsen was the worst player on ice for either team the first 55min of the game. And YES that includes Abney.
Looks like its all about the statsheet.

I was there and you couldn't be more wrong and Dallas agrees with one of us.
You can't teach what he has but you can teach D. Let's see if he can learn it cause his skills would play nice in a bottom pairing/offensive PP role.

Ference should be a big help on the back end as long as he is not over played.

The other guys we brought in are going to be bottom pairing 7th guys as we have had in the past. Our defense is still weak imo overall. J Schultz after a year under his belt could make a big difference though.

http://blogs.thescore.com/nhl/2013/...for-an-nhl-player-when-hes-been-sent-packing/

Kind of an interesting read. Looks like the Oilers;

a) had nothing arranged for Perron so he had to stay in a hotel for ten days with his girlfriend and several pets. How is that possible given all the properties Katz must own in the city? Can you imagine living with a barking dog in a hotel (or being the guy in the room next door for that matter)? What a nightmare.

“Oh what a mess that was,†Perron said. “I was with two dogs, one cat and my girlfriend in a hotel room for a week and a half. It’s tough to get the dogs some exercise. They don’t know where they are, so every time someone walks in the hallway, they’re barking."

b) lost some of the man's belongings during the move. Including a case of his favorite wine.

“The only thing is there were a few things the movers lost along the way, so I don’t know what happens with that,†Perron said. “There’s insurance and all that, but when you lose personal belongings, it’s not fun to open up the boxes and go, ‘Oh, I thought I had this here’ and I don’t have it.

“There were a few things, but I had a nice case of wine from Napa Valley that’s my favorite wine that’s not on the trip somehow, so I’ll have to buy another one maybe. I don’t drink too often, but I like to have a glass of wine every now and then. There’s a few other things. It wasn’t that bad. It’s just little stuff that you expect to have and you don’t have. I don’t know if someone took it or they lost it along the way, but tht’s the situation.â€

Oh well .... welcome to Edmonton David :shakehead
