I think Pysyk or Forbort will fall out of the top 20 because the teams at picks 13 thru 21 will opt for forwards (other than STL going for a goalie at 14). It was a toss up between Forbort and Pysyk at 12, but I went with Forbort, which ended up dropping Pysyk to 22.

As for Kabanov and Howden, I just went with gut feeling on those two.

Dallas could take Forbert at 11, watson has also been mentioned

Thinking about it, even with his "off-ice issues" Sheahan's a great candidate for the Wings @ 21.

He's a great skater with a very sound two-way game but also has some high-end offensive potential: people forget he led his Jr. B team in scoring two years in a row when he was 16 and 17, notching almost 2 points per game.

They have a great mix of options though according to your mock. I'd love Etem to be around at that spot but I'm likely too optimistic there. I might even prefer if the Wings reached a bit and grabbed McIlrath: put him in camp with Kronwall and Stuart to see how the big boys hit in the open ice, then let him wreak havoc on the W!

I doubt the Stars will go with a dman, so not likely Forbort, but I wouldn't be surprised if they reach for Watson (or Bjugstad) instead of Granlund. Watson at that spot, though, would be 4-6 spots too high from my perspective.

Interesting. It may be the first time I've seen Burmistrov going to the Hurricanes. I guess if they like him anything can happen.

I could live with Connolly and Merill. But if Kuznetsov is still on the board, I would take him instead of Merill.

Connolly and merrill would be a fantastic draft for Atlanta.

Really good mock. I'm not sure Ottawa risks taking Kabanov in the first. I agree that Howden should be a mid-first and that Pysyk will likely be in in the mid 20s.

Buffalo would be pretty scary with myers and mcIlrath.

I'd like to think that Washington takes Tinordi, but Kuznetsov certainly wouldn't surprise me.

I also like that Etem is listed as being from the Lethbridge Broncos.
