I don't think it was a flop. Hathaway was standing still and wasn't prepared to get hit; I dont think he saw Stephenson coming. It also wasn't worthy of a major.

Guy standing still gets hit and falls down. Meh.

Looked like his head clipped the net on the way down which is probably what affected him the most.
