THEY SAID IT

“We just needed to be better all around.. We’ve been giving up more than we’ve been getting, which is obviously unacceptable. We found a way to be better tonight. I think we’re going to continue that momentum." - Dylan Strome on the Blackhawks' power play.

“Their resilience, their stick-to-itiveness, to keep fighting and to keep pushing in that third period is an indication of the kind of character we have in that room.”
- Mike Sullivan on his team winning after being down 3-0 against the Islanders.

Wasn’t that last year?

maybe...there’s been too many blowouts by the Hawks against the Pens I can’t remember...lol

edit...no, they beat us 4-3 and 6-3 last year...close...I was remembering the earlier shellacking from 2017-18 but it was actually 10-1, not 7-1 ...lol

Games like these where you know it's in the heads of the core players they've lost to the Hawks for 5 straight seasons, switch it up.

Hawks know we're the better team and expect us to come out guns blazing. So trap it up to start.

Either way, result tonight doesn't much matter to me. They're playing brilliant hockey. More worried about health and maintaining what were doing the rest of the season. Results will be there.

Kahun is going to burn Maatta for a goal. The first line will finally turn it around and click at the same time as line two. Big game from JJ.

I wish I was as confident as you are...in my dreams I see Kane flying down the wing on a breakaway after Schultz misses the net again, and Murray is off his angle and the puck squirts through...how many points does Kane have against us? Seems like thousands...

I wish Sully would start Jarry tonight..he needs more games and this is a good one to give him...Murray is on pace to play 65 games...too many
