Not sure that Nelson will be the Rochester recall and play three-in-three, thinking more Fedun there, but we'll see. Stamkos' roster spot is up in the air as well, as either Drouin (UBI) is healthy to slide back into top-six or a recall from Syracuse may juggle things some there.

Should be an easy win for Tampa. Bylsma will have the team do everything in their power to make it a slow, boring game. They'll try to win it 2-1, but end up losing 5-1.

We're gonna get murdered.

Anyone expecting anything else is wrong.

Good call

Fedun called up

Nelson was incredibly disappointing. I thought he'd push for a permanent spot this year. Instead he's been basically awful since his first opportunity.

Not going to go to the game but will watch on the boob tube. At least as long as I can hold out hope....

I always thought Fedun was positioned well to be the 7th from the jump, keeping Falk and Nelson in the AHL until needed, but obviously his injury rehab carrying into camp hurt his chances there. I agree that Nelson has been a disappointment this year.

I think awful is a slight bit of an overstatement. He had a couple of solid games when paired with Franson. His major issue is that he appears to panic and wants the puck off of his stick ASAP. I would have liked to see him get PP time though.....at ES, he still has that knack for getting the puck to the net and I would think it would carry over to the PP.

But I absolutely agree that he needs more seasoning in Rochester.

@TSNBobMcKenzie -
Steven Stamkos is heading to Vail, CO., today and expected to undergo arthroscopic knee surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear.
While TB lists Stamkos as out indefinitely, it's believed best-case recovery timeline for this procedure is four months, possibly longer.
Stamkos's procedure, which can have 4 to 6 month rehab, will be performed by knee specialist Dr. Robert LaPrade. Precise recovery time TBD.

He played 11 minutes with Franson... and managed to give up a goal.

I think "awful" is the appropriate label for a defensemen who panics.
