Gongshow Salary Cap League Outline (READ ONLY)

League Type: H2H Each Category Salary Cap League(Fantasy teams compete against each other 1-on-1 and receive a Win, Loss or Tie for each scoring category in each Scoring Period).

Salary Cap: 85M (Subject to increase in future years) and we use REAL-LIFE Player cap hits. Player contracts are REAL-LIFE as well. Meaning, if a player gets a new contract with a much bigger cap hit in real life, you will also have a much bigger cap hit on that player in this league.

Forums: Located on the League Home Page.

Divisions: The divisions will match the NHL with their newly aligned divisions. For this league there will be 4 NHL teams in 4 divisions to make the full 16.

Playoffs: 8 of 16 teams make the playoffs. Division leaders will make up the top 4 while the the next 4 teams with the best records make up the remainder of the positions, regardless of division, conference, etc.

Draft Orders: The future draft orders will be based off of the REGULAR SEASON standings. Playoff results have zero effect on the prospect draft orders.

Rosters:
- 20 Active Players(4C, 4LW, 4RW, 6D, 2G) WITH 6 BENCH SLOTS AND 4 IR SLOTS
- 30 Prospect Slots(Should be enough for now as I doubt anyone will exceed this number)

* (Goalie) If a goalie has played 45 games or less, he is considered a prospect. *

* (Player) If a player has played 65 games or less, he is considered a prospect. *

* If you want to add a prospect eligible player from the FA, you must drop one of your own prospects to make the transaction.(Just like a regular player on a regular roster). Otherwise, there is no limit on how many prospects you can own. For ways to gain prospects, SEE BELOW *

* Ways to Gain Prospects:
- Dropping a prospect and adding another one
- Via Trade (Ex: Trading 1 prospect for 2 prospects)
- Via Prospect Draft

* (Player) Once you draft or acquire a prospect eligible player, he will have until age 24 to be called up to your main roster. If a player's age going into a season is greater than or equal to age 24 then that player is no longer prospect eligible. The reasoning for this rule is because with deep prospect rosters, many players will be called up often. This will give teams time to make room for your up and coming players so that you don't lose them for nothing. HOWEVER, if you wanted to add a prospect to your prospect roster, he would have to be under 65 NHL Games while also being under age 24 and you would of course have to drop one of your current prospects. *

* If one of your prospects turn 24 in the middle of the season, you have until the next off-season to make a decision with him. If you do move this prospect up to your roster in the middle of the season, then he must stay there or be dropped to free agency; He is not allowed to be sent back down to the minor team. *

* If you keep well-established players in the league who are under age 24 down on your minor team, you will be charged with "tanking" and may be subject to compensation of picks or even deletion from the league. *

* You can only bring a certain prospect either up or down the roster once a week. For instance, if I wanted to move Mikhail Grigorenko up to my main team, I would have to keep him there for the rest of the match-up before I can bring him back down and it works vise versa. *

* If you drafted a prospect eligible player in the main draft and then send him down to your prospect roster, you may not drop that player as a prospect and add another prospect in his place. *

* If you add a prospect eligible player from the FA to your main roster, he is considered a regular player. If you send this player down to your minor team, another prospect from your minor team must be dropped to make room. *

* Exceeding max reserves or salary cap limit will make a roster illegal, and will deny claims to improper status. The only exception of this rule is during the off-season when many changes are being made to add roster flexibility. Salary Cap flexibility is also active during this time period. All owners have until September 24th to have a legal roster. *

Scoring Categories:
G, A, PTS, +/-, BLK, FOW, HIT, SOG, STP, Tk, TOI
GAA, SV%, SHO, W

* 2GP MIN required for goaltenders to earn credit for goalie categories in a scoring period. *

Trading/Transactions:

* The Trading System for this league is a 4-Vote/Objection System, meaning it will take any 4 votes from the 16 owner league to overrule a deal. You will have 1 day to vote on deals and this rule should make the league more active. If you do not want the league to fall behind and become less competitive then monitor what goes on the league more often and make your votes when needed. Another reason why it will only be 1 day is because we want both teams involved in the deal to get their players ASAP so they can make their contributions to their new teams. *

* The Trade Deadline is February 23, 2014(Month before OUR regular season ends). *

* You will be able to trade future draft picks and there will be 4 rounds for future prospect drafts. *

* The max number of claims you can make per match-up is 4. *

* There is no limit on the amount of trades you can make. *

The league is on Fantrax. I do not think I mentioned that. Typically, you pay for salary cap leagues on Fantrax but the payment has been made.
