Now Tortsie is being defended by his ability to take a horse kick to the face.
Apparently he was kicked in the face by his horse.
Torts is not Hakstol, he doesn't run a defensive oriented system.
He's as advertised, an aggressive forecheck with D-men pinching to maintain pressure in the O-zone, leading to odd man rushes against when it doesn't work, which is why he puts so much stress on back checking, to limit the time those rushes have to make plays.
I would like to know if that data exists somewhere @JojoTheWhale I think I've asked this before, but do you know of any site that has time on stick tracking numbers?
That you are bothered by it says a lot more about you than it does me.Now Tortsie is being defended by his ability to take a horse kick to the face.
Flyers are putting up nice metrics the last six games, helps to play weaker competition, also helps to have some time in a new scheme.Flyers MVP Race,,
1. Hart
2. TK
3. Trigger
So you admit neither aspect of his systems works anymore correct ?
Not really. Never said I was bothered by it. Just that the weed butter kicked in and made laughing at your takes even easierThat you are bothered by it says a lot more about you than it does me.
Overplaying the top line is so dumb. It's November.
Thats future captain Scott LaughtonOh and I haven't done a dive into Laughton yet but per the eye test for a while now he seems to be playing absolutely great at there. Lots of little things going right. Bit of an unsung hero, perhaps.

Years and years of this team obsessing over defense and purging all skill, creativity, and risky offensive initiative from the roster is really shining through. That's against a Columbus roster that's more wrecked than ours.
Tortorella has now twice buried half his roster on the bench to close a big chunk of gametime, before relying on gassed players in OT for a loss:

^^Of course, the roster is so bad it's hard to blame him conceptually, but there are some questionable decisions and evaluations in here. The execution isn't good.
As seen here, some of the wrong line combos were being emphasized:

Any idea of what their overall record is...how many games they should have won this year?
What in the flying f*** is that middle chart. Like that 0,1 computer language.
Also who in their right mind tracks this stuff. Nerds
lol take it easy. You just can’t take stop ehh?Oh, I think you’re irate & are using the weed butter to medicate your rage. You don’t have to lie.
Would you explain roughly how these are determined?Columbus - 42.3% OTL
Dallas - 38.1% L
Ottawa - 54.3% L
Columbus - 65.9% L
St. Louis - 50.3% W
Ottawa - 43.9% W
Toronto - 9.7% L
New York - 11.7% OTL
Carolina - 46.8% OTL
Florida - 10.6% W
San Jose - 57% L
Nashville - 35.5% W
Florida - 35.3% L
Tampa Bay - 36.3% W
Vancouver - 71.8% W
New Jersey - 41.4% W
Now that I think about it, all three zones tracks dz,nz,oz touches, I believe. It’s not exactly what I want, but I could do some evaluation that way.To the best of my knowledge, you would need a high dollar premium source for that.
So really deserved to win 4, 11 losses and one tie(Stl).Columbus - 42.3% OTL
