Brandon Carlo at plus 7 tied for 1st in the NHL is pretty amazing for a guy no one pencilled in let alone playing on the top dee unit. Bruins got a solid big mobile guy. Next closet deeman is plus 2.

I seriously doubt that.

I do as well, but a Calder nomination wouldn't be too surprising. He makes his presence felt every shift, has remarkable energy, and is getting real opportunity with Voracek and Couturier. For Konecny, it will come down to durability. If he can play 70+ games, a 50 point season could be realistic in which case he'd definitely be among the candidates in the conversation.

Matthews and Laine are the heavy favorites, but Nylander, Konecny, Werenski, Aho, and Marner all seem poised to make strong cases as well. Another impressive rookie class this season.

Feel bad for Barzal who only got into one game, but aBeau's game fits the Isles needs right now. His line (Beau - Strome - Quine) has been strong in both zones.

the kid has been impressive to say the least. I would love it if he keeps producing.

I seriously doubt that.

He has a ton of skill and is on a nice line, gets PP time, and is on one of the highest scoring teams so far. The two favorites are obviously better, but their points mostly came in a single big game. Konecny Has been as consistent as they come.
