Sharks and Islanders are both looking to break two-game losing streaks.

The Sharks have called up Melker Karlsson, who should be making his season debut on Tuesday (practiced on the third line Monday).

The Islanders have called up Adam Pelech (younger brother of former Shark Matt Pelech) and he could make his NHL debut against the Sharks.

Indications from Monday practice (where power play was worked on extensively) is that Jones will start.

Let the Pelech memes begin.

Keep it up boys

The PP was perfectly fine until Couture went down. That number one unit is so unconscious that having a new member completely throws them off.

Also there's that matter of Vlasic being in it. :shakehead

But yeah, I wiuld say that the majority of the Sharks' issues are special teams. At 5v5 the top-6 is great, and the other two lines will be when Logan gets back.

The key is to take less than 4 penalties. If we take 4 penalties, they have like a 100% chance of scoring 1 goal. If we only take three penalties, they might score zero goals. Then dive like crazy, we should be able to get one PP goal from one of our ten dives.

Not too optimistic here.

Islanders 5
Sharks 2

Tavares x2, Lee, Boychuk, Okposo
Burns, Hertl

Also, one legit question. Has anybody any clue why our PK is so bad?
