Man, this has the potential to be embarrassing. Boston full lineup, playing under the bright lights, our boys absolutely decimated. I’m not longer excited for this game. The NHL never should have kept the Flyers in this game. Ridiculous.

Tell me again why are they traveling across the country in a pandemic riddled season to play a gimmicky outdoor game on a golf course in front of no fans? This game is so unnecessary and probably prevented necessary schedule changes.

Dude, don't be so cynical and cruel. These kids have been dreaming of playing a professional hockey game in and/or on Lake Tahoe since they first strapped on skates. Who are you to deny them the fulfillment of such a beautiful dream? And all because of some flu, if it even exists? No.

This is the way.

No one can convince me that there isn’t a direct correlation between the inexplicably increased space between the forwards and defenseman on the breakout (since the playoffs) isn’t contributing to this team’s lack of shot attempts, offensive zone time, etc.

I (and plenty of others) have been saying the breakout is certainly this team’s downfall. They don’t have winger help to support along the boards and rely on icing, stretch passes, or Kevin Hayes dangerously stickhandling right up through the slot to get the puck out of the zone. It’s resulting in getting massacred in shots every game.

That is definitely a systemic flaw that the FO must see as good strategy, which is troublesome (he understated). But what makes me want to gouge out my eyes is when the players are absolutely incapable of making or receiving even 5' passes, stumbling around with the puck in their feet, or otherwise coughing it right back up after gaining possession in their own zone. The Flyers must also be among the worst Dzone puck-tracking teams in the league. They are the anti-Gretzkys.

It is depressing that we can neither point to players failing to execute a good strategy nor players making great individual plays within a flawed system. It really is the blind leading the blind right now.

It’s so frustrating to watch. They excelled at this from January(ish) until the pause.

Oh, whatever. It's gonna look f***ing awesome on TV, it's an excuse to get a little wavy at noon on a Sunday, the roster's a mess thanks to covid so there's no expectations. Just have fun boys, don't lose too embarrassingly.

Honestly how can anybody think we will get over the top with Fletch at the GM helm? This is a guy chosen by Holmgren....let that sink in. A dude whose vision was still through beer goggles....

We're so traumatized by the Dave Hakstol era, and now the AV era, that the inept lunacy of Samuel Morin playing left wing on an NHL team barely musters a reaction anymore.

This organization is super f***ed up.

What blows my mind is that there's still some who defend AV and Fletcher, simply because they're not Hakstol and Hextall.

It's depressing to have had Hak and then French Hak back-to-back. What a waste of Giroux, Couturier, etc...
