Especially if Myers is out, I want Sanheim out there 25-27 god damn minutes. He’s playing the best of his career so far.

Keep Gus on the top PP.

Patrick - shoot the god damn puck more.

TK - pick the god damn corners like you are paid to do.

G - back check or get your center to back check. Not sure if I would ever expect G to out battle Marchand, but two games I’ve watching comfortably while they score.

I would rest Lindblom.

JVR and Farabee - keep it going.

Coaching wasn’t as horrible as it has been. But that’s not why we lost the last game.

Dear Chuck,

Please grow a set of working testes and fire Michel. Hey, if AV quits in protest, it’s a bonus!

I don't understand how they can look at the PP this season and think - ''yup, looks fine''. Those few JVR redirects have to be ignored in the big picture. It's skill of a player, not success of PP system (LOL, is there any!?)

Patrick will stink
Elliot will stink
Oskar will stink
TK will stink
Hogg and Gus will stink

This will be another multi goal licking.

Looking at metrics, I don't believe in Corsi anymore, I'm starting to think SCF% is a better gauge, whereas HDCF is more about "mistakes" and taking advantage of them, SCF is an alternative to Corsi as a general measure of play (i.e. Corsi awards you for just shooting no matter how bad the shot or easily blocked), SCF accounts for quantity of scoring chances, not just shots. HDCF accounts for quality. That is, if your SCF > HDCF, you probably need to play with more focus.

By these measures, Patrick, G and Farabee have been our best 5x5 forwards

SCF% - HDCF%

Patrick 50.64% - 50.20%
G 50.61% - 59.71%
Farabee 48.04% - 52.03%

TK 51.84% - 46.95%
JVR 48.80% - 46.65%
Lindblom 47.24% - 42.73%
Hayes 44.01% - 54.14%
Voracek 38.52% - 48.99%

Bunnaman 45.56% - 34.01%
NAK 44.68% - 39.53%
Raffl 40.91% - 40.91%
Laughton 40.03% - 40.17%

Myers 51.32% - 58.72%
Sanheim 49.39% - 51.81%
Ghost 47.09% - 59.18%

Provorov 41.33% - 44.98%

Hagg 46.43% - 35.92%
Gus 46.18% - 39.74%
Braun 41.28% - 35.41%

No, they will play like s***, yet manage to go into 3rd period either w game tied or one goal lead, then crap in our hearts mid3per with something similarly awful to 2 goals against in 3osecs (last game) or godawful/controversial penalties taken (the game before). Sounds more fitting/likely.

This team hasn't played well, but I'm very encouraged by the Boston games, after a bad start in the first game, I think they played their best 5 periods of the season against 1 of the 2 top teams in the league, they went toe to toe with Boston without Couts.

We're 31st in CF%, 29th in xGF%, 28th in SCF%, and 22nd in HDCF% - we're consistently bad.
PP is 11th in GF/60, 20th in xGF/60
PK is 28th in GA/60, 19th in xGA/60

Hart GAA 3.42, xGA/60 2.54
Elliott GAA 2.19, xGA/60 2.37

The bad news is we really sucked to start the season, the good news is despite that we're 7-3-2.
Hart should turn it around, Couts returns in a week, Myers should be back Sunday (cross fingers).
