Koivu scares me with how far he is playing off his guy.

He played under Torch just weeks after playing under Yeo. You can't tell me that he suddenly improved his skating in a matter of weeks.

Gabriel at the time - playing under Torch - said he was playing with more confidence because of the trust he felt from the coaching staff.

It was the mindset he had with the coach. Yeo was notoriously rough on the young players and that was just another example.


Yeah, sure... just ignore the evidence all you want...

Go back and watch the games, go back and read the game threads... everyone was calling him slow.

Then go back and watch the games under Torch and read those threads, everyone was talking about how fast he looked suddenly, and even now people compliment his speed.
