i know they used to run tryouts and pick like 2-3 guys from there. couple of youtubers have been to those tryouts but dont think they've ever been selected.

I'm not sure what's allowed, but OSB has a goalie under ECHL contract. However, they've got a game tonight.

Haha not sure what the rule is on former players, the emergency goalies for the Canadian cities are all usually ex-college/major junior players, I think it's in the USA where it gets tricky in certain cities. Some teams like LA have actually try outs for emergency goalies in the off-season, I think you win tickets to a bunch of games and some memorabilia or something instead of a salary.
