Looking forward to Nashville and Anaheim. Hopefully there's a little leftover ill will from the playoffs. :)

Oilers come out flying.

Devils are completely outmatched if the game is reffed like this. Their game is built on speed which was helped a lot by the crackdown on slashes/hooks early on.

These Western teams seem like it's a flashback to some of the clutch and grab hockey.

Apparently hooking, holding, and slashing is no longer against the rules. Who knew?

You can see why the Oilers struggle to score, not great shot selections and they like to pass a lot.

Really good game so far.

So much attention is being given to the younger players on the Devils that you forget they're without Zajac and Palmieri.

Maroon owes McDavid like 10 points so far this season.

So what like what are the Oilers going to get penalized for? There's 'letting them play', and then there's this.

Faceoffs 29-7 for Edmonton. Dunno if anybody has benefited from the faceoff changes more than Nugent-Hopkins. Has had like a 12% increase over his career average so far this season.

this was a game Edmonton really needed to win and it looks like they're really coming out strong like they needed to. Pretty good game for them
