I just assumed by that point that he was a warm body for if somebody somehow got hurt during warmup or morning skate. Or NHL salary for the day.

I think Goodie just needs a chance. With Wingels coming off at the end of this season, I suspect he sees more time next year unfortunately. Long term, he could be a good Ward replacement.

He did. He scored a goal. Unlike McCarthy, Sorenson, Carpenter, Mueller, Kelly, Ryan, McNally, Jevpalovs, Bergman, Chartier, Martin, Heed and Nikolay Goldobin. Probably why he got called up over any of those other players.

With Wingo getting dinged up yesterday he could get called right back up and play tonight perhaps.
