What a boneheaded decision it was to resign Myers. Nobody is taking that trash can defenseman. He's brutal. I remember a couple people saying "obviously coaches see something in him," yeah... turnovers maybe.

Adding Cernak and Bogo to the right side with Fleury as the #7 will be ideal. Foote can switch in and out for Bogo. Unless Koepke plays better, I'd like to see Balcers or Fortier.

Lastly, we should've beaten these guys like 6-1, not 6-3...

Meh, he was hedging bets. If Myers panned out we got an absolute steal for next year, if he doesn't it's just a year. Still time for him to turn it around.

You know that Myers is in the top 10 in the league for Corsi CF% Rel. Also you don't waive something worth value and most GMs have to sell some of their Cap space to inherit some cap space. It all very complicated and left to those that have held a hockey stick before.

That just shows how useless the advanced statistics are without context. If he was that good, coaching staff wouldn't wait to put him in the lineup until they were forced to.

accurate, he's heavily sheltered:

Philippe Myers 22-23 T.B
Percentage of zone starts in the offensive zone: 49.23%
Percentage of zone starts in the neutral zone: 30.77%
Percentage of zone starts in the defensive zone: 20%

Time on ice per game played: 11.13

What an asinine thing to say. Not only does your advanced bullshit not cover his poor play, your insinuation that perhaps I've never played the game is dumb. You just come across as a dumb prick.

Too lazy to look up whether or not this is a brilliant Hose or new evidence that stats can say anything you want. Or both.
