[FIELDSET="QUOTES TO NOTE"]

We weren’t there early in the game. Guys started to play better and better in the second period and we got a couple goals.
We relaxed a little bit also and we started to play our kind of game, what we want to play. It’s great to get two points again.
- Antti Raanta

I think our record is really good but I think at the same time we know in here that maybe one or two games we played a 60-minute game really hard.
There’s been really good spots in games but we’ve been obviously not great during times in the game. I think we just need to find a way just to get that 60-minute game.
Obviously we’ll improve in our record but we’re pretty happy with the first 10 games with our record we have right now, but there’s definitely room to improve.
- Dan Girardi

If you would go through the whole group and ask them to grade themselves from one to 10. Other than both the goalies and maybe Kleiner and Step, there would be a lot of people that would be hovering on getting a talk from their mother about their marks on the first report card.
- Alain Vigneault

This game is a must win.

Can't slip up against the Maple Laughs, especially at home. They may be the Leafs, but they are certainly better than they were last year, from what I've been seeing/hearing. Simply because of Babcock.

Hopefully these days off and having a ton of practice kept everyone sharp and they learned from the mistakes of the previous 10 games.

AV is looking at the games in groups of 10, and this is a new group. Go get'em.

They may as well forfeit this game now since that Toronto fan told us that we're gonna be out-possessed, chanced, etc. etc. RIP in pizza parties rongos

It seems like we have trouble against the Leafs at MSG.

Please don't **** this up. They have Komarov and Winnik in their top 6 FFS.

on a side note...so Machinehead in the pregame thread posted that it was his 50,000th post...

assuming he started posting here Jan 1 2011 like his profile says...that means he's averaging almost 30 posts a day every single day..

holy mackrel man.

I'm averaging 6 per day which is a helluva lot...but wow...5 times as many posts for 5 years...sheesh. talk about being active.... good job man!

Schedule is such a joke. 5 days off, the boys are going to be rusty out there in the first.

Down 3-0 in the first, win 5-4 :handclap:

This is exactly what I was thinking. When is the last time the Rangers beat the Leafs at MSG? It feels like the Leafs always bring it against the Rangers on the road and that it always has the feeling of a trap game for our boys.

Destroy them, please.

The old OT threads worked to inflate a lot of post counts, myself included.

No excuse not to win. Hank keeps up his strong play, the top 6 gets 2-3 goals, and lets get a goal from the bottom 6 or the D, too.

4-1 Rangers. Unfortunately i'll be missing the game, as it is my ladyfriends birthday and when I will be able to split my attention it'll be to the Mets (hopefully) schooling the Royals at Citi.

Yeah, it's pretty sub-par. Playing the Leafs at home has not gone too well for him in recent seasons. They destroyed us last October, 6-3.

He'll get them tonight as long as the team shows up.

The Rangers haven't been playing any better than the Leafs have, it's just the goaltending that has been the difference.

Knowing the Rangers they will get blown out by the Leafs and beat the Caps..
