OCTOBER SCHEDULE:

QUOTES TO NOTE:

It’s been going on way too long. And it’s tough right now.
I think you can say all the cliches you want we have to stick together, we have to keep it simple.
But at the end of the day, we have to give ourselves a chance to win the games.
- Rick Nash

When we’re in the position we’re in — when we start the game chasing it’s just so much harder.
After that, it’s uphill. There’s no question about it. If we’re 5-1 [on the season], it might have been a little different.
But right now, we’re looking for a good feeling, and to start the game chasing, it’s not easy.
- Henrik Lundqvist

From what I can understand is the last game wasn’t a Picasso.
The personnel is good. We’ve just got to play the right way. We had some good looks.
- Alain Vigneault

Can the game be postponed? I think two days idle are still too short a time for repeated stabbings to the heart.

So you know when they say things can't get any worse or there is no bottom. Well a loss tonight would be that. I mean don't even know what to say if they can't win tonight.

Our best plus minus players are +1. Wow. Not surprising, once you consider our record, but, at face value, that number is shocking.

As far as tonight’s result? Nothing surprises me at this point. 3-2OTL, 6-1W or 10-0L. None would shock me.

The only thing worth watching tonight will be the video tribute.

This is not the 1st time (but, its been awhile) in which we've had as rough a start to a season as this one. We, (as fans) have gotten so spoiled and "used to" a succesful team and record that it appears many are losing their minds. Tank? Are you serious right now? I'm sorry, but I'm not giving up that easily. This upcoming schedule is still very conducive to excercising a nice little winning streak and getting things back to "normal". Just have to start playing better defensive hockey, and get a little better goaltending. Get the 1st goal and win one period. Win one game and gain some confidence. I dont think we are true contenders for the cup.......but ya' never know. Lots of things can happen on the way. This is the point. Its early, way too early.......I want bang for my buck (DirecTv) and I'm sure you do as well. So dont give up, that pick is a very long ways away.....with no guarantees.

Speaking of Stepan..
This was always a very tight knit group and personnel/performance aside,
Do you think the players might be tuning AV out partially because they traded away their close friends?

If they lose tonight I think we'll have an answer..

Clendening getting 5 assists is more feasible than Stepan getting a goal, especially a ppg. I mean we KNOW where he will be stationed on the PP, right?

They know its a business. I'm pretty sure they're not blaming AV for trading away "their friend" if anything,
that is on Gorton. And if they lose tonight, it just means they suck more than Arizona right now.

The Hagelin trade really bothered me because they were so quick on the trigger to trade him. He wanted to stay and was willing to negotiate a cap friendly contract to stay here.
Anyway, this game has the potential to be the worst game of the year. Two struggling teams. I predict a game where no one wants the puck except our ex-players.

I only watched parts of the Yotes/Islanders the other night but did see Stepan make a really good play on the PP by causing a turnover, then a nice pass to Duclair for the goal. I really would not be totally surprised to see Stepan, Duclair, and if they play Clendening, Raanta all do stuff. Domi, Keller, Cousins also looked pretty decent offensively, defensively they are, and as a team having some difficulties, yet they seem to be letting them try to work through it as some of that is also on the vets.
