QUOTES TO NOTE:

More than once this year, some guys on the bench have looked at each other and asked, 'Did Foxy just really do that'?
And he gets away with it because he's good enough to do it. He’s a fun player to watch and we're ecstatic to have him on our team.
- Jacob Trouba

I thought Kaapo played his best game of the year. Right from the start, he was really assertive, getting in on the forecheck and making good plays.
On the second goal of mine, it doesn't happen without him. He was really engaged tonight and it’s nice to see for his confidence.
- Ryan Strome

Anytime you get a win to stop the bleeding is important, but certainly, under those unique circumstances that we faced, it was probably a little bit more important.
We’ve got five out of our last six points and we’re starting to get back to .500.
- David Quinn

Yes...would love to see the kid get more into the mix in the crease and be a bit more noticeable ....maybe get more physically involved and in the game . This would be good club to play a more involved game against if there were ever one .

The Islanders game thread has Georgiev starting but that doesn't seem confirmed. If Quinn thinks Georgiev is as good as Shesterkin than he's dumber than a rock. Especially now given how well Shesterkin has played.

Starting Georgeiv given his numbers against the Islander wouldn’t be the worst decision in the world. But you go with the hotter goalie, and that’s been Shesty.

The only reason for such a move would be Georgiev's record against the Islanders. But this would be a gamble that would rightfully open up Quinn to a lot of second guessing. A LOT.

All these games are important, but this is going to be a team they'll be competing with for a spot in the playoffs. The top 3 teams seem to be established in a sense. Boston, Washington and Philly. The 4th team is up in the air and the games against the rest are super important.

They also need to keep going with Shesterkin. He's the guy and needs to be in there for these games. Georgiev will play, but while the schedule has days off, Shesterkin needs to be in there.

As usual, no expectations, but I’m glad we’re back on the schedule tonight and I’m hoping to see us keep building off the last two. Would be nice to see the kids continue to look good and get on the sheet.

I don't want a situation where your #1 goalie doesn't start games against your biggest rival. Shesty should be in net when you play the Icelanders. Henrik taking a break when in Montreal is one thing. Your franchise (hopefully) goaltender riding pine for games this important is another.
