I have him muted so I can't quote it...but as someone who spent the entire offseason arguing with many that not only was McCabe not a bad player (and yes, was a rookie last year despite some of the ludicrous takes around here) but was our second best defenseman...

He's not "maybe our best D man". He isn't asked to do any of the heavy lifting Ristolainen does. Not zone starts, not quality of competition, not the heavy minutes and all specialty teams... none of it.

He's better than the role he's been given. And that's what it is. If Ristolainen had his assignments it would be a laugh.

Get outplayed badly by the Sens the majority of the game....Lehner steals a game.


I suppose we deserved 1-1 out of these 2 games, and that's what we got
