OUTLOOK
The Pittsburgh Penguins (6-3-0) are looking to get back in the win column after being shutout by the Vegas Golden Knights 3-0. The loss halted a 5-game winning streak that saw them outscore their opponents 23-11. It’s whose doing the scoring, though, that's got everybody talking. Sam Lafferty (3 goals), Adam Johnson (1 goal), and Joseph Blandisi (1 goal) - along with other players - have come through while key players remain out.
The Florida Panthers (3-2-3) are off to a so-so after some big moves during the off-season. The Cats, who are still finding their legs, will be looking to take two games in a row for the first time this season. Many pundits expect the Panthers, who have a talented core, to push for a playoff spot this season.

THEY SAID IT
"It's easy to (blame injuries)... But with the guys we have in this room, we still had a big chance to win tonight. And if we keep playing the right way, it doesn't matter who's in the lineup. We'll still be able to come up with a win." - John Marino
“They’re playing good hockey, no matter who’s in or out of the lineup. They’ve still got some special players. We have to be ready for it… We’ve got some work cut out for us, for sure…. This is a good challenge. We’re going to get tested.” - Anton Stralman
