This has the makings of a letdown game.

The type of game where they lay a major egg and we get a bunch of fluff about how they just won a hard fought game against a divisional rival the night before. The win against the Caps then provides a buffer against making any meaningful changes. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't have a good feeling about this one.

Yeah... this would have been the one I wanted them to win out of the two BTB games, if I had to choose for some reason. As odd as that sounds. I just really don't like Dan Bylsma. But I really don't see any way they win this one for the reasons Zen already outlined.

Of course, I thought they were going to get bent over last night. So who knows. At this point a combination of Fleury and two or three other guys alone seem to be saving the team's collective bacon. It's tough to account for a team's success or lack thereof when they are playing in front of a goaltender at the absolute top of his game... like... career-wise. Not just lately-wise.

i feel like a bad fan but i go into watching games hoping we lose, so we'd fire MJ.

i don't even enjoy watching pens hockey. it's gotten ridiculously boring that i find watching the oilers a breath of fresh air.

Yeah... I guess I can't really blame MJ for riding his best player hard. Especially with his job likely on the line and Fleury having already bailed him out at least twice. But they do need to rest him. And JZ is more or less an insta-loss.
