Refs need to back the f*** out of this game

Was such a good comeback, game until they jumped in.

I think it was the dramatic looking “I got shot” spin that sealed his fate. Looked pretty fake
uhh what? all of his weight was on his left leg (his right leg wasn't even on the ice) and he got hit from the left side. Of course he is going to go down.

Weak interference IMO. Don’t touch Ekblad !

Even weaker too many men. Christ. Weak on its own merit, but also right after the last call. That’s a 5 on 3

I love how refs let them play, until they don’t. Then they do again.

Ekblad never touched the puck and wasn't close to the puck when it went past him. that was an easy call. The too many men was obvious as well. guy coming on the ice can't play the puck until the guy going off is off the ice. Backstrom wasn't even at the door yet when the puck was played. Easy call

The puck was inches away from him when Ovechkin hit him. What are you talking about?

What’s your definition of “close”?

The puck was right at his feet. I think you need to get your eyes checked.

Considering ekblad was a couple feet from the boards and the puck was right along the boards, that’s not close enough. Ekblad also wasn’t facing the puck.

Not sure what game you’re watching. Ovi was staring at the puck and waited for it to get there before he hit him. Then the caps player literally had one foot over the board when the puck was played. That’s not a penalty that’s called 95% of the time. Even if that one is close you never call it to make a 5v3. And after all that you call a dissent? Damn.

Anybody see the linesman flicking his wrist at the Caps bench telling them to get off the ice after the period. Not a good look. Can’t insert your feelings into the game.

Yea isn't that a violation of some kind? Sorry, but if you've got a bias, you can't be reffing this game.

I'd say more than 95%. There has always been a 3-5ft zone if a player is exiting as long as the stick is by his side, he is heading straight for the bench and makes no attempt in play.

It was right by his feet, and he was clearly swinging his stick towards the puck just as Ovechkin was making contact. He basically played the puck but was thrown down immediately. Weak call

It’s technically a violation but it’s one of those barely things that get let go 95% of the time... and they called two of them back to back.

The Ovechkin interference was barely so if at all (extplained above), and the extra Cap was right by the bench and out of the play

Dubie is putting on a clinic

Not hard to do with a team like Dallas who has goals from like 6 guys, two of which aren't playing tonight, lol.

In all seriousness, he's been good and very lucky on a few sequences, but those usually go hand in hand. I just hate watching these nationally televised games where the commentators stumble over players names or repeat the same talking points about the same ones in every game for the past 5 years, lol.
