The Jackets have been nowhere near as good as you could assume from the shot totals.

Vasy with the shutout!

5/6 points on this road trip not bad

Next up the Pens who will be coming off a b2b

Both Kuch and Serge on the bench at the end so neither could do it.

Suck with Kuch but he had two assists tonight which was still great.

That's the best game I've ever seen Vasy play. He wasn't making 10 bell saves because he didn't have to. He was in control all night. The best goalies make it look easy, and he made it look easy tonight.

Congrats to the shutout Vasy, great for him.

And congrats to Serge on his 1st and 2nd goal.

I almost lost my shit when I saw the three stars say Vasi got a shut out.

GG all around honestly. Lots of shots against but for the most part we limited chances.

So that's points in six straight games, including three on the road? Excellent start to the year. I'm guessing our possession numbers look pretty solid too.

Congrats first to Sergachev! Congrats second to Vasy; defense thankfully did their job and helped him out (clearing those nasty rebounds) but he got the SO so, awesome job Vasy! If he gets confident, then my confidence in him may grow. Good job all around I think.

He was in complete control tonight. One of the easiest looking 40+ save shutouts I've seen.

Pretty dominant win. Good stuff. Vasy with the shutout, and Serg with his first two goals... the second of which was an absolute beauty. Kuch on the bench at the end blemished an otherwise perfect outing.

Agreed! He didn't seem at all frazzled by the pelting by 43 shots. Just calm and in control. And the team did play much better defense in front of him as well.

Good to see the bolts grab another 2 points but our shot against is going to have to come down a lot if we want this ride to be smooth.

Just a good game all around, Columbus pelted shots but nothing dangerous, probably the best effort this team has put forth without their back against the wall in years.

The transition with defenseman being able to skate is very noticeable, Dotchin looks like Karlsson when comparing him to Garrison.

Which is why I don't like Sustr back in the line-up. Because it's noticeable how rough he is back there.

I mean - he wasn't a trainwreck today but he was an anchor on any pairing he was on.

KK is certainly a better skater but credit where it's due, Sustr was the right pick to go against a big Columbus team who aren't exactly fast. He did use his reach and size today.

I don't really like KK either for the record - I'd be fine going back to 12/6 but using the 12 as a PK specialist-type.
