I figured I'd start off with two of my favorite things that are returning this year after too much time off...kudos to Ugene Malkin for all of the images.

[shadow=black]Did You Know?[/shadow]
• In the 1995 lockout-shortened 48 game season Pittsburgh's Jaromir Jagr and Philadelphia's Eric Lindros tied for the league lead with 70 points - but as Jagr had more goals (32) than Lindros (29) the Art Ross solely went to Jagr. Eric Lindros's consolation prize was the Hart Trophy, becoming the first Flyer since Bobby Clarke in 1975-76 to win the award. No Flyer has won since.
• Because of that tiebreaker no Flyer has ever won the Art Ross Trophy. Evgeni Malkin's win last season gave the Penguins their 14th Art Ross in 24 seasons.
• Third in scoring in that shortened 48 game season? Alexei Zhamnov of the Winnipeg Jets with 65 points.
• The first game of the 1995 season was played on January 20th.
• At the start of the 1995 season Boyz II Men's "On Bended Knee" topped the Billboard charts and John Singleton's magnum mediocrity "Higher Learning" topped at the box office.
• As we start this season Bruno Mars's "Locked Out of Heaven" tops the Billboard charts, while Zero Dark Thirty is the reigning box office champ.
• Arrested Development debuted on FOX on November 2, 2003 to massive critical acclaim, being nominated for 7 Emmy Awards while winning 5, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Despite this ratings were mediocre for it's first two seasons and bad for the third (though I'll get to the third later).
• Fox shortened their season 3 order from 22 episodes to 13 after a gigantic gap in the airing schedule after changing it's night on the TV schedule somehow failed to improve ratings (...), effectively making the season a lame duck. Once the show's fate was sealed Fox pretty well perfected how to make the show's ratings as abysmal as possible so they could sell the ratings numbers as the reason (Season 2 averaged roughly 6 million viewers, a number perfectly reflected by a 5.99 rating for the season finale, on it's usual Sunday night. For season 3 the show was moved to Monday night, where it had to compete with CBS's (inexplicable) hit "The King of Queens". After only 3 episodes in that time frame the show was MIA for a month until two episodes aired on November 7, followed by another month off the air, three weeks on, one off, one on, and the series was concluded with the final four episodes airing in a two hour block against NBC's coverage of the Opening Ceremonies of the 2006 Winter Olympics. That is how you make sure a TV show's ratings are bad enough to warrant cancellation, folks.
• Netflix announced this week that their 14 episode order (improved from the original 10) will be launched simultaneously on their service sometime in May. The season will be the precursor of a full-length movie that will act as the true finale of the series and will have the full cast together on scene only once - in the 14th episode. Every featured actor returns, as will recurring characters Barry Zuckercorn (Henry Winkler), Ann Veal (Mae Whitman), Bob Loblaw (Scott Baio), Kitty Sanchez (Judy Greer), Lucille Austero (Liza Minelli), Carl Weathers, Andy Richter, Conan O'Brien, and new characters from John Slattery (Roger Sterling in 'Mad Men'), Terry Crews (President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho in 'Idiocracy' and those brilliant Old Spice commercials), & Isla Fisher (the red-headed nymph in 'Wedding Crashers').
• A Where Have They Been for the actors since the conclusion of the show:
Jason Bateman (Michael Bluth) - Moved to films where he appeared in such movies as Juno, Hancock, Extract, Horrible Bosses, & The Change-Up
Portia de Rossi (Linday Bluth) - Had a recurring role in Nip/Tuck and a starring role in Better Off Ted. Married Ellen DeGeneres in 2008.
Will Arnett (Gob Bluth) - After a couple bad movies (Let's Go To Prison and The Brothers Solomon) he (mostly) moved back to television and is currently the male lead on NBC's Up All Night.
Michael Cera (George Michael Bluth) - Became loveable (Superbad), tiring (Juno), hateable (Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist), and then back to tolerable (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) on the big screen before backing out of the spotlight the past couple years. Cera is one of the writers for the fourth season.
Alia Shawkat (Maeby Fünke) - Has maintained a steady profile of work in both film and television, but hasn't been a star in either.
Tony Hale (Buster Bluth) - Has been a guest star on numerous television shows and is currently playing Gary Walsh on HBO's Veep.
David Cross (Tobias Fünke) - Has continued his stready stream of television, film, and stand-up comedy...but he'll clearly be remembered for his work as Ian Hawke in the Alvin & The Chipmunks trilogy. He was the everything man in The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, a show very worthy of Netflixing.
Jeffrey Tambor (George Bluth) - Continued being a frequent guest star on television shows and minor characters in movies.
Jessica Walter (Lucille Bluth) - Was a series regular on 90210 and Retired At 35 and is the voice of Malory Archer in FX's brilliant animated comedy, Archer.
Ron Howard (The Narrator) - Homeless in East St. Louis or something.
• Jessica Walter, Judy Greer, Jeffrey Tambor, and David Cross have appeared on Archer, which creator Adam Reed describes as, "James Bond meets Arrested Development."

This is OT, but maybe one of you can help me.

Just suddenly, I can no longer watch YT videos outside of youtube. I click play and it acts as if it's about to load and start, but then it just goes (and stays) black.

This is annoying.
