Well, it's effectively the third year of rebuilding (Gauthier #5, Michkov #7, Bonk #22, Fla 2024, Tippett, Grans, Poehling, top draft picks and players under 25 added). Wasn't the intent, but the effect is similar.

How about we don't make up dishonest bullshit like suggesting that game minutes are given based on quality of play.

We know for an inarguable fact that this isn't true.
Not dishonest at all. Torts has always had the habit of making players ride the bench for their misdeeds.

Nope. He has a habit of making players he's biased against ride the bench. It has nothing to do with misdeeds.

Meanwhile, worse players who make far more mistakes are allowed to continue playing, so long as they're old, big, and shit at hockey. Like Staal, Deslauriers, Ristolainen, etc.

He's an old dick and won't be used alot. Frost got the pay raise and needs to cut down on his turnovers. We all like his offense but needs step up his game.
He had the 5th highest icetime among the Flyers' skaters last night. Why do these shitty vets get so many chances?

York - Sanheim looked really good, some of this is Sanheim is a different player this year (he's stronger, and is playing with more confidence), some of that is so far, almost every D-man paired with York plays better.

Zamula - Seeler is not an ideal combo.

I think it's likely to be the following to start the season:
York - Risto
Zamula -Sanheim
Seeler - Walker
with Staal as the 7th D-man, and Andrae back to LHV.

But they like Andrae, he'll get a few games to show he belongs and probably bench Seeler.
If he's not ready, he'll get a few months in LHV before they move out a veteran D-man or two.

They'll want to play Risto and Walker, Walker for the TDL, Risto for next summer when they'll try to move him - can't move him if he isn't playing.

Briere is in no rush, he's not spending assets or taking on a lot of dead money to move out Risto, Atkinson, etc. Next summer he'll have more options, there won't be takers at the TDL with their salaries (though the cap going up next year will help).
Absolute fantasy land analysis. It never changes

@VladDrag You put more effort into that review than some people that get paid for it. Well done.

Nah. The puck was long gone at that point. Here’s a replay with a few angles:

And again, I don’t think he was trying to hurt the guy at all.

How can anyone watch this and say Hathaway wasn't in the wrong? It would have been better if he hit him head on, albeit late, than sticking his leg out.

"not condoning it" but you bet your ass ill do everything I can to defend it

It's a quad contusion, in other words, it wasn't knee on knee, but bruised the quad.
Not a pretty look, but jeez, I've seen far worse on a regular basis.
Slamming a guy into the boards is more likely to cause injury (to the player getting slammed unless Allison is the one doing the slamming).
