(1) How many gaming cards do you have? Not for computing boincs or bitcoins. Just mainstream gaming.

(2) How many would you have. If you had the money? Or reason not to? For best gaming.

(3) Which one do you have?

I'm trying to learn if 4-card gaming has been a thing, and if 2-card problems have been alleviated, and other things. Just answer the questions and we'll go from there. This never works here.

RX 480

I had a Crossfire set up a few years back, it worked pretty well. Slightly higher performance than my 480 but the stutter was a bitch. Knocking my FPS down a bit on average was worth it.
(I even benched the frame times)

All over the map and inconsistent vs all under 40ms except once. The Crossfire pair was faster (14500 vs 12000 score in firestrike thereabouts) but the side effects weren't worth it.
Also it didn't work games that only supported fake full screen (borderless windowed, basically any Unity game) so I couldn't even use it sometimes anyway.

1. always been 1, as far as I'm concerned. the dual card thing never worked that well especially given the cost.

No reason to buy more than one video card since the software has never really appeared to take advantage of it properly.

1080ti, Like everyone else has said, don't waste your money on multi-card setups, get the best single card in your budget.

1. Just bought a 6 gb GTX 1660, very happy with the card. Ideal for 1080p gaming but not the most future proof card out there. Bought it since there was no way my 2gb 960 was going to handle Cyberpunk 2077, it handled the Witcher 3 on high settings pretty good. Way its looking it will be medium-high settings for Cyberpunk.
