Tanti was Canadian!?!?!?!?!?

Ha ha.. although I haven't given it a thought in 25 yrs... I had assumed Tanti was European when I was a kid. Just assumed cuz of Skriko and Sundstrom.

We're coming on a streak, facing one of few teams worse than us.. so obvious loss.

Miller will start despite Marky's heroics last time around (yes, I'm aware Millsy played well last week too).

Sedins will combine for a goal. Megna will be on their line. Troy gets one, PP.

3-2 Avs

I met Tony Tanti when he came into my place of work in North Vancouver when I was 19 (Brent Sopel on another occasion, too). Nice guy, was coaching rep hockey on the North Shore at the time, if I recall right.

No game is an easy game for this squad. They have won with effort. They can undo all that with a flat showing against Avs. They need to build on this small streak and build momentum. They know this and I expect a huge effort, whether Colorado plays well or not.

I was thinking this game has ugly disappointing loss written all over it. after three wins over divisional rivals they are due for a let down.

in 1987 we had a 42 point sutter and two forwards that jim robson had to call by their first name so you'd know which was which, but we also had taylor hall, so go figure.

today's canucks are due for a let down after that oilers game. luckily the avs are also due. i predict a high scoring **** show. 6-5 avs in ot.

Have to think Vancouver wins this one, Colorado is doing their tank right.

colorado traded o reilly and signed soderberg

theyre not tankig.

theyre proving tanking creates a losing enviroment

all tanking proves is generational 1st overalls are cool

nice attempt at defending your view point though

Actually, Colorado is proving that signing former players to management contracts doesn't work, and that incompetent management can cripple a hockey team.

no it proves accumulating 1st and 2nd overalls doesnt fix anything and drafting matthews or connor mcdavid does

And why doesn't that fix everything? Oh yeah, incompetent management.

Accumulating high draft picks gives you those great core players, but if you don't have management who know how to build a hockey team, your team will flounder regardless. I thought that was obvious.

I'm coming dangerously close to hope for Miller to having horrible games just for Willie to snap out of it. Millsy's been fine but when your upcoming #1 (Demko is years away) has a 1st star performance - he should start the following game. I don't get why he refuses the change. They were 1A/1B last year, but now they are #1 and #2? Where's the sense in that? I just don't get the man :(

At least Rödin is in.. hopefully he stays in when Burr returns. Preferably in place for Megna ;)

No Burrows tonight (scratch to his eye, day to day). Rodin draws in and will be skating with Horvat and Baertschi.

Although I put the over-under on him being replaced there by Michael Chaput at about two shifts.

Wow Rodin actually gets to play? I guess only because Burrows is hurt now...quite the coaching we have.

Let me guess Miller starts too
