The Defence is a tougher call. Blashill has been saying Hicketts has separated himself the most. Given Sulak's age and physical attributes he will probably the be the 2nd "kid" to make the blue line. The first couple of games without Green/Ericsson will determine who sticks long term between Hicketts and Sulak.
A Cholo and Hronek first pairing in the AHL is damn sexy and helps them build chemistry for the big club.
I'd rather he play closer to 20 mins a night against top AHL talent than play 9-10 minus a night against bottom NHL talent.I'd trade the useless plug Glendening and run Zadina-Helm- Svechnikov as a 4th line. The old "top 6/9 or nothing" excuse is so played out. There never was a spot for Zadina, why not just tell it like it is?
I think that line would get exploited in road gamesI'd trade the useless plug Glendening and run Zadina-Helm- Svechnikov as a 4th line. The old "top 6/9 or nothing" excuse is so played out. There never was a spot for Zadina, why not just tell it like it is?
Completely agree, would much rather see Zadina dominate the AHL before he wastes a year of his ELCNo big deal, no need to rush the kid, plenty of season - let him ease into the professional game.

He gains nothing playing 8 minutes a night.
Just heard at NHL Network that is Zadina might compete for Rocky of the year, just talking heads. Before draft we new that Zadina not physically ready for NHL, that's why we able to get him. It's hard to compete with the man when you are teenager. And if he is so good now, We got a potential monster hockey player in couple years
I agree ,Glendening is plug, plug and play the hardest working man on the team who is great at PKI'd trade the useless plug Glendening and run Zadina-Helm- Svechnikov as a 4th line. Fine by me. First half AHL + WJC + NHL seems the perfect scenario for his development.
I will say - he's more of a project than I would've imagined. I thought he would've been more electric out of the gate. Just have to keep reminding myself that he's 18 and this is his second year in NA lol.

Don’t think contract years matter. It is years of pro experience.Do not burn a year of his contract with an expansion draft looming.
