The rest of the draft was great imo and a lot of players who can be impact NHLers sooner than drafting younger small players. Overall very happy with the draft and hoping Middleton can carve out a career as an ahler but even that I dont see.

Honestly I'm happy with most picks besides outside of Middleton and I can understand them and its really exciting to see if the Leafs just exploited a major flaw in drafting philosophy and if they hit jackpot. That said, I pretty much thought this when they grabbed Kroshkov

Never understood these kinds of reactions...we've been doing pretty good when we take overagers and guys off the board. Antropov was so off the board that they didn't even have his name card at the ready. If it weren't for debilitating knee injuries, he would have been a much better choice than staying on the course (unless they were to draft Tanguay). I prefer to have faith in our scouts.

With that being said, I'm still a little peeved to see Fox, Girard, and Dineen go.

I believe there's suppose to be 4-5 great goalie prospects in next year's draft that all seem to have higher potential than Hart IMO. I wanted to take another goalie too, but with Andersen here now we can wait a year or two to find a G prospect for the future.

Let's see how next year shapes out for the goalies looking to be drafted, but it seems like a much better group than this year's.
