While luck definitely plays a role, more than anything else Stanley Cups are earned. They haven't earned it.

Not so sure. Losing 7 straight elimination games going back to 2013 has a probability of 0.78% (assuming 50-50 odds which I know isn't accurate) so it's quite possible they will never win the Cup again. Seriously, that's 1 in 128 odds. It could go on forever. But hell, I figure I have another 30 years in me. Stayed tuned for this hot take every year until 2052.

At this point picking anyone but Makar to win the Norris is bordering on a hot take. A Hart is definitely within reach for him, but still an uphill battle for any d-man
