Whether or not another team would do it...who cares honestly. It was a nice gesture, and good on the Pens for doing it. It's clear they all care a lot about Letang and we should just appreciate it for what it is.

Fantastic, first class gesture. Not just from the players but also the coaches, management and even ownership who had to foot the bill. Will say it is nice that we’ve never really had to worry about any off ice BS antics from the core for the last two decades. Aside from Geno swimming with whale sharks lol

If you use firefox mobile, there is a little icon of a piece of paper on the right side of the address bar. Press it and it loads the page without graphics and popups.

The Athletic paywall kicks in after a certain amount of visits by a browser with cookies enabled. You can reset it by deleting the cookies or other methods.

For anyone that doesn't know, you can delete your cookies of a specific site by clicking the lock button on the left side of your address bar. Diff browsers have a diff icon, but it's the same idea.

Letang's father died while the team was on a US road trip. Many of the vets and Sullivan decided they wanted to support Kris and fly the team plane directly to Montreal instead of returning to Pittsburgh for a day off. A Penguins employee in Pittsburgh flew down to meet them in Arizona to deliver all the required passports to enter Canada. Ownership picked up the tab for travel.
