Fantastic, first class gesture. Not just from the players but also the coaches, management and even ownership who had to foot the bill. Will say it is nice that we’ve never really had to worry about any off ice BS antics from the core for the last two decades. Aside from Geno swimming with whale sharks lol

How often do you go there? There might be free passes for the first or more clicks. It is 100% a paywall.
The Athletic paywall kicks in after a certain amount of visits by a browser with cookies enabled. You can reset it by deleting the cookies or other methods.

Anyhow, good to see from the team, I'm not gonna read the article, but it's a sweet gesture.

Following up what Handshake said.
For anyone that doesn't know, you can delete your cookies of a specific site by clicking the lock button on the left side of your address bar. Diff browsers have a diff icon, but it's the same idea.

Do this and you can probably read the article.

For people that can't pass the paywall:

Letang's father died while the team was on a US road trip. Many of the vets and Sullivan decided they wanted to support Kris and fly the team plane directly to Montreal instead of returning to Pittsburgh for a day off. A Penguins employee in Pittsburgh flew down to meet them in Arizona to deliver all the required passports to enter Canada. Ownership picked up the tab for travel.

Now, we can use they are tired from the travel as an excuse if we lose.

Kidding…sort of. Nice gesture, though
