Yellow goal creases?

I stumbled upon a video of Eric Lindros scoring his 2nd career goal against NJ at the Spectrum and saw something very odd...the goal creases are entirely YELLOW.

Now I remember teams painting the ice on the inside of the ice yellow (buffalo used to do it...just look at Gretzky's record breaking goal) but that was back in the early 80's

Why was Philly painting the entire large semicircle goal crease yellow during the beginning of the 1992-1993 season?

This seems to be the only thing on the internet addressing yellow goal creases...

I was at the Fred Page Cup game in St-Jérôme today, and it seems that they too have yellow creases.
