WWE 2K20's disastrous launch state leaves fans fuming

Issues noted include referees refusing to count pins, entrance music continuing throughout matches, button prompts failing to appear, mislabeled options, the same wrestler appearing multiple times in a match, flailing cameras, borked gravity, frame rate drops, and other candidates ripe for Botchamania. This is to say nothing of the visual glitches, which allows the slimmed-down Create-A-Wrestler mode to birth nightmarish models, the likes of which haven't been seen since Assassin's Creed Unity.

WWE 2K20 also seems to be struggling with its in-game engine. While the WWE titles have always been notorious for problems such as clipping, the videos currently online take these issues to the seventh level of purgatory. Clips posted include Ronda Rousey going apeshit in the ropes while everyone loses their knees, a referee trying to pull off a Cronenberg body-morph with Charlotte Flair, and wrestlers endlessly rolling around the ring. A Reddit thread posted by DazedRabbit offers a catalogue of problems with WWE 2K20 in its current state.

The launch of this game is gaining massive backlash from people who purchased it because the game quality is so awful its unplayable with glitches or simply horrific gameplay

The volume of complaints and issues with game have lead to some players seeking and getting refunds from Playstation though others have been denied refunds



Also many who bought a more expensive/premium version of game did not receive the autograph that was supposed to be part of it leading one to reach out to wrestler who's autograph is missing



Turns out he is not alone

What a disaster of a launch and game. Most of these aren't even bugs they are poorly built core of game

Graphics have also been hot topic of users who say they have regressed dramatically from past games of same series

Wowza. That's atrocious.



One of their theories was that the license makes it impossible for them to make money, so they're going the route of least effort possible to get the WWE to revoke the license or to minimize costs until it expires.

I bought that game just because the roster was so impressive. I never really got much into it though. Thats the only wrestling game I played since PS1/N64 era.

This is a game if purchased digitally through Xbox they would have no issues refunding. I've done with other games that did not work well at launch. WWE doesn't even look good enough to call it a Beta.

On the other hand, UFC 3 is a pretty good game and free if you have EA Access.

It could, a patch could completely download a new version if they were so inclined. Even if you have the disc most console games are downloads. Beyond the glitches the graphics are really bad.
