A lot of posters in this thread missing that he’s #3 on the Capitals depth chart and will be on the taxi squad. Vitek Vanecek will be backing up Samsonov.

Washington made the best of a bad situation. Happy for Anderson to get another shot. He waited it out and got an opportunity to continue with an NHL backup role. Still unfortunate that it was due to King Henrik's health issue.
