I took a look at his underlying numbers, and it looks like he is no worse than the most average NHL player. I don't see anything wrong with the Jets welcoming him back, he can still be a decent addition to their bottom 6. He can still get some points while being decent defensively.

Yeah he was looking like he'd be a good player. Maybe similar to a Drouin path, but he regressed. We'll see, I've actually followed his career around the league a bit because he's an interesting talent.

Cheap two-way contracts typically give you better security nowadays. That is if you're tired of moving around and want to play somewhere that's in the same place as the respective NHL teams AHL affiliate.
