Heinola 1+6 in 12GP - Gold in 2019; no medal in 2020

If the likes of Dach, Lafrenière, and Cozens are loaned by their teams due to the late NHL season start, Canada may have one of the strongest groups in recent memory. Those three, plus Perfetti, McMichael, Byfield, Newhook, McMichael, Krebs, Holloway, Mercer, Lapierre up front, and Byram, Drysdale, Schneider, Guhle for blueline...

I don't usually care where a prospect is from, but I'm looking forward to seeing a high end Jets prospect play for Canada.
Agreed, it's been a long time since we've had a very good player on Team Canada. I don't want to secretly cheer for the U.S anymore.

I think Johannesson (injury), Torgersson, and Nikannen are longshots to make their teams, but it would be great if they made the cut. Perfetti and Heinola seem like locks, though.

Better chance the long shots are brought along for the ride with this news from Pronman.
