There is nothing wrong with this pick. At this point you just have to hope, and there is some reason to hope. Since there is reason to hope I am satisfied.

Wow, never heard of this player. His clips do look interesting and definitely our draft team does very well in identifying these finesse dmen types. Tall, body that appears very underdeveloped, looks like he has good hands and vision.

Probably would have liked Dylan Roobroeck, but he is definitely the Ranger profile pick. They love their tall forwards in the late rounds.

Edit: Just noticed that the Rangers also picked up OC local Ty Hendricks... another giant winger.

On Vojtech Port (6th Round, 161st Overall)

[Ducks scout] Glen Cochrane loves Vojtech. He saw him early in the year and then followed him really closely...Again, hockey sense and really quick on retrievals. He's got really good awareness to be able to sense pressure and move the puck...He's a long-term project. Physically, he's got some room to grow, but it's about mobility and hockey sense with him.

I'm really loving this pick. I love those young, untapped potential guys liike Terry, Zellweger, Hvidston.

Highlight-reel is insane. He needs to clean up on many areas but the raw tools are all there. Funny enough, Port was their top scoring D. And while his +/- is bad, it's the best with a wide margin among their top players. That team was just bad.
