But for this series of penalties Buffalo couldn't probably even the game. At the start of the game the Rangers dominated completely.

I thought it was one of the best winter classics I’ve watched. I’m pretty sure I’ve watched them all but some weren’t that memorable. Either way, despite it not being much of a rivalry and neither team being one of those highlight reel exciting run and gun teams, I thought it was one of the more competitive games, the ice was good and the game was actually exciting. Good goaltending, periods of strong possession and pressure from both teams, some close calls. Good game.
