Windsor Spitfires 2021-22 Season Thread (Part 10)

Spits have been an opportunistic team all year.
They can drop 3 in any 5min span. They are fine in this game even thou Ham. had the adv for first 10 min. And a couple more solid chances probly overall. Keep it within 1 or 2 and Spits will remain confident and definitely in the game.

They gotta stay away from mistakes below their goal line. (they had a couple early but settled down nicely) Those quick turnovers can be deadly.
And take away space on the scorers from Hamilton On the goal MacT had to much room. Both late Fs drifted to the puck and Ribau(?) Didn't close the gap enough pre pass.

Ribau dropped the bomb on the non coverage of somebody you cannot leave unattended.

I thought that was the penalty for an unsuccessful challenge. TSN seems to think there wasn't a penalty for an unsuccessful challenge

Johnston and Cuylle with only 1 shot they 2 periods. They need to be much better and move active

Other than having 2 min run off the clock killing a penalty. It did give Ham. A PP. Yes Sits got thru it, good on them.
I'm not sure he gets a pat on the back between periods for that play thou.

Not counting out the Spits yet. Still in it despite the 2-0 game.
But they can't get caught up in stupid or selfish plays.
Both teams have players susceptible to responding to chirping, playing tough, taking a shot and taking a penalty. Ya wanna be on the right side of that equation in the 3rd.

Kept Windsor in as long as he could.
